I can honestly say Jamie changed my life. I started going to her yoga classes because the times worked with my schedule and I wanted to get a workout in a few times a week. I decided I wanted to be a “yoga girl.” But what I got out of those classes was so much more than a workout.
From my first class when Jamie introduced herself to me and asked my name, I felt so comfortable and like she truly wanted me there. The way she teaches and the lessons she imparts are invaluable. She teaches more than a workout. The movement in class is great, but the breathing and life applications are really what I started to take away from going to class. When I completed my course, she helped me get hired so I could actually begin teaching yoga. Even though at this point she lived across the country and was more than busy with her own teachings and endeavors, she made time to help me.
When she came back to MN for visits, she reached out to do teach-back sessions. It felt like such a full-circle moment to teach her a yoga class a year and a half after I had taken my first class with her. The feedback she gave was invaluable and helped me feel more confident in my teaching. She came to my very first official class and again helped make me feel at ease when my nerves were high. She always believed in me and supported me, and I know for a fact I am a better person because of her.
